The organization of faith houses working to help unhoused families in their sanctuaries has joined LifeMoves.
MENLO PARK, CA – Home & Hope, a coalition of congregations addressing homelessness in San Mateo and Northern Santa Clara Counties, will now operate under the auspices of LifeMoves, the largest provider of homeless services in the two counties.
Home & Hope provides a safe haven for families facing homelessness, helping them to regain long-term self-sufficiency. The organization increases awareness of the issue of homelessness by actively engaging volunteers from the local community.
Today, Home & Hope’s work continues as part of LifeMoves’ expansive program offerings.
“This transition for Home & Hope means that the important volunteer work of our faith communities will continue for years to come,” shared LifeMoves CEO, Aubrey Merriman. “Our faith communities, which amount to more than 2,800 individual volunteers and thousands of volunteer hours, have given so much of their time, personal funds, and energy to support the mission of LifeMoves to end homelessness in our region. Today we are so inspired to advance our work with the addition of Home & Hope.”

LifeMoves brings a unique combination of shelters, services, and programs that work together to help families, couples, and individuals from a variety of backgrounds move from homelessness into stable housing. Last year, LifeMoves served more than 7,200 clients and provided more than 288,000 nights of shelter across San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties.
