Nora Daly was a cherished supporter of LifeMoves, whose unwavering generosity and compassion left an indelible mark on our community.
Nora became a supporter of LifeMoves in 1997 and was a dedicated KeyGiver monthly donor, giving $200 via a personal check every month accompanied by a note of encouragement. Shortly before her passing, LifeMoves fundraising staff shared with her that her donations had accumulated to well over $100,000, and that she had reached a milestone that grabbed the attention of a multitude of staff members.
To show their appreciation, the LifeMoves staff put together a personalized thank you and and mailed it to Nora. Little did they know that Nora would soon pass away, making the gesture even more meaningful. Her contributions and the monthly notes she shared with the team have since become treasures, deeply cherished by the staff who were grateful for the impact she made.
Her husband Tim has vowed to keep the tradition of a steady monthly donation in Nora’s honor. “Nora was a giving person and wanted to give not only back to the community, but to those less fortunate than herself,” Tim said.
Nora will not be forgotten by those who knew of her at LifeMoves. Plans are beginning to form for a special tribute to Nora and will involve Tim, who knew her best.
