Christina directs corporate development and governance at Corium and holds responsibility for strategic planning for the company.  Prior to joining Corium, Christina spent 16 years in investment banking, serving in both advisory and portfolio management roles at Salomon Brothers, the Jim Pattison Group and J.P. Morgan.  She has been involved in leadership and fundraising positions in a variety of civic and community organizations, including Sacred Heart Schools and Stanford University. Marianne Baldrica is the Regional Vice President for NASDAQ OMX Group. In this role she develops and executes the strategic direction for oversight of all NASDAQ-listed companies in the western, working closely with CEOs and executives of some of the most well-known companies in the world. Under her leadership, a team of relationship managers is charged with building and enhancing customer relationships with NASDAQ’s listed companies throughout the 13 western states, British Columbia and Alberta, Canada. The region includes 700 companies, 51 of which are in the NASDAQ 100 index. Marianne’s previous experience includes roles at DEMER IR Consulting and SAIC. J.D. Vance is an investor, commentator, and author of the #1 New York Times best seller Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis, described by the National Review as a “brilliant book” and by The Economist as “one of the most important” reads of 2016. Ron Howard and Brian Grazer of Imagine Entertainment have announced plans to produce a movie based on Vance’s book.

Raised by his working-class grandparents in Middletown, Ohio, Vance graduated from Middletown High School in 2003 and then immediately enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. During his time in the Marines, he deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

When he finished his four-year enlistment, Vance enrolled at Ohio State University, where he studied political science and philosophy, and helped coordinate the university’s bipartisan voter education drive in 2008. After graduating from college, he studied at Yale Law School, where he worked at Yale’s Veterans Legal Services Clinic, providing free legal counsel to veterans of our nation’s wars in Vietnam and Iraq. Vance earned his law degree in 2013.

After a stint at a large corporate law firm, Vance moved to San Francisco to work in the technology industry. He serves as a principal at the leading Silicon Valley venture capital firm Mithril Capital, cofounded by Peter Thiel and Ajay Royan. As an investor, Vance has taken a special interest in the biotechnology industry and other transformative sectors of the economy.

In early 2017, Vance joined as a partner in AOL founder Steve Case’s venture capital company, Revolution LLC, which concentrates on bolstering entrepreneurship and disruptive, high-growth companies outside of the sphere of Silicon Valley. He also returned home to Ohio to found Our Ohio Renewal, a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing the state’s opioid crisis and bringing high-quality employment and educational opportunities to Ohioans.

He regularly discusses politics and public policy, having appeared on ABC, CBS, and FOX News, and currently serving as a contributor on CNN. Vance lives in Columbus, Ohio, with his wife, newborn son, and two dogs, where he works on his nonprofit and investment activities.

LifeMoves programs are free of charge for the people we serve and our team provides far more than temporary shelter. In exchange, mandatory and full engagement in our programming is required by all participants. Hard work and accountability are the norm. We expect people to succeed and they do. Last year, 92% of families and 78% of individuals who completed our transitional housing programs returned to stable housing and self­-sufficiency.

LifeMoves programs teach homeless adults the life skills they need to find a rapid and lasting return to stable housing and long­term self­sufficiency. For homeless families with children, our additional goal is to inspire children (and their parents) to aim for higher education to increase their opportunity to earn higher wages which will enable them to become more financially secure as adults. This illustrates our goal of breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty and one of its most visible symptoms: homelessness.

Our clients will engage in an extensive collection of life-­changing supportive services expertly coordinated by dedicated and experienced Case Managers and other direct services staff.

  • Case Management: Our trained Case Managers support clients’ unique needs, helping them manage budgets, connect with resources, and make active progress toward regaining stable housing.
  • Job and Housing Search Assistance: Staff and volunteers provide clients with training, tools, and resources to find and secure employment and housing they can afford.
  • Financial Literacy and Savings: We teach clients to manage a personal budget and to save for emergency needs. Clients in the LifeMoves transitional housing program must save at least 50% of their income.
  • Childrens’ Services: Our therapeutic childcare centers, S.T.E.M.­based curricula, after ­school homework club, and art therapy programs help children and youth overcome the trauma of homelessness, continue their education and open their eyes to the possibilities offered by higher education, all in a stable and healthy environment.
  • Mental Health support: Anxiety and depression are common for adults and children experiencing the trauma of homelessness. Supervised by 2 Ph.d. Psychologists, all of the people we serve get immediate mental health support while in our programs and we do an excellent job of connecting our clients to longer term help in the community upon program completion.
  • Life Skills Education: We equip our clients to achieve and maintain long­-term self­-sufficiency by teaching them life skills through nightly workshops on financial literacy, parenting, nutrition, and other life skills.
  • Direct Client Assistance: We also assist our clients with practical support: basic car/bicycle repairs to assure reliable transportation to work/school, bus,train, BART and other transportation passes,fees for college and university applications, assistance with tuition and/or certification testing fees,etc. We have clothing closets to help our clients dress for success for work and job interviews, and for attending school and even social events. Upon program completion, to continue to save money, our clients move into their new residences with a generous supply of donated linens, kitchen supplies, dishes, silverware, pillows, small appliances, toiletries, clothing, and in many cases donated furniture. The critical lessons of savings and financial literacy are firmly ingrained In summary, hard work, commitment and accountability are required from the homeless men,women, and children we serve. In return, LifeMoves provides safe, clean and modern living paces,nutritious food, counseling and mental health supportive services, therapeutic childcare and after-school activities, job and housing search assistance, and additional “Program” services.

Last year, 92% of families and 78% of individuals who completed our transitional housing programs returned to stable housing and self-sufficiency.

LifeMoves programs teach homeless adults the life skills they need to find a rapid and lasting return to stable housing and long-term self-sufficiency. For homeless families with children, our additional goal is to inspire children (and their parents) to aim for higher education to increase their opportunity to earn higher wages which will enable them to become more financially secure as adults. This illustrates our goal of breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty and one of its most visible symptoms: homelessness.

Our clients will engage in an extensive collection of life-changing supportive services expertly coordinated by dedicated and experienced Case Managers and other direct services staff.

  • Case Management: Our trained Case Managers support clients’ unique needs, helping them manage budgets, connect with resources, and make active progress toward regaining stable housing
  • Job and Housing Search Assistance: Staff and volunteers provide clients with training, tools, and resources to find and secure employment and housing they can afford
  • Financial Literacy and Savings: We teach clients to manage a personal budget and to save for emergency needs. Clients in the LifeMoves transitional housing program must save at least 50% of their income
  • Childrens’ Services: Our therapeutic childcare centers, S.T.E.M.-based curricula, after-school homework club, and art therapy programs help children and youth overcome the trauma of homelessness, continue their education and open their eyes to the possibilities offered by higher education, all in a stable and healthy environment
  • Mental Health support: Anxiety and depression are common for adults and children experiencing the trauma of homelessness. Supervised by 2 Ph.d. Psychologists, all of the people we serve get immediate mental health support while in our programs and we do an excellent job of connecting our clients to longer term help in the community upon program completion
  • Life Skills Education: We equip our clients to achieve and maintain long-term self-sufficiency by teaching them life skills through nightly workshops on financial literacy, parenting, nutrition, and other life skills
  • Direct Client Assistance: We also assist our clients with practical support: basic car/bicycle repairs to assure reliable transportation to work/school, bus, train, BART and other transportation passes, fees for college and university applications, assistance with tuition and/or certification testing fees,etc. We have clothing closets to help our clients dress for success for work and job interviews, and for attending school and even social events.
